Mixer Directions:

For Crank Mixers:
Insert mixing rod through opening in lid. Dip the mixer rod tip in peanut oil for lubrication. Slide white gasket on rod until up against lid. Slide plastic lid liner on rod and snap into lid. Place lid assembly on top of jar and fasten by turning clockwise. Stir by rotating handle with a slight downward pressure. The jar can be held upright or sideways until mixed thoroughly. After stirring, remove mixing rod by pulling upward. Unscrew lid from jar. Remove plastic lid liner and white gasket for cleaning.
Note: Make sure the small tab on the clear plastic lid liner is folded down against the liner when using. Also, especially on the smaller lids, if the lid liner seems to fit too snugly and is difficult to remove, rotate the liner one quarter turn, or make sure the plastic tab is not under the double-overlapping threads in the lid. (see photo below)

For Twist Mixers:
Dip mixer tip in peanut oil before inserting. Rotate and move handle up and down until the peanut butter has been mixed thoroughly. To reach all areas of the jar, angle the bottom of the mixer towards the sides. Settling of the product may make the first turn more difficult. Remove lid liner and clean gasket, liner and lid. (Not recommended for dishwashers) Note: After extended use, replacement lids may be obtained from the manufacturer.

All mixers listed below feature a stainless steel or chrome-plated stirring rod. A coated-steel or polymer lid provides rigid support for the hand mixer and a durable molded plastic knob spins freely to facilitate turning the crank. (The twist-knob mixers utilize hardwood knobs). A bearing collar on the mixing rod seats snugly inside a chrome-plated lid grommet to provide a smooth, even rotation. A white nitrile gasket made from FDA approved materials is fastened underneath the lid and effectively cleans all peanut butter from the mixing rod upon removal from the jar. For additional convenience a polypropylene liner is easily released by pulling a side tab to facilitate cleaning the peanut butter from underneath the lid.

Model 400 Crank Mixer

This mixer has the same features as models #100 and #300 but has a longer rod to stir natural peanut butter in the 26 oz. jar with an 83 mm. (3-1/4 inches) diameter deep well, ribbed plastic lid.
(Nut butters in larger jars can become heavily settled, which may make the initial turns more difficult. Before opening, place the jar upside down for a few days or more to help break up the hardest material)

Model 500 Twist Knob Mixer

This mixer utilizes an up and down plunging motion to mix the oils in natural peanut butter and works especially well with stiff, heavily settled product.
